INSTALLATION COSTS

Below is an accurate installation costing method, is it 100% accurate, NO, will it be accurate to about 85-90%, YES.

Here it is:

Allow $135.00 per camera run of cable. There is one run per camera. Allow up to 25m per run and allow $1 per extra metre after that on each run.

Allow $1 for every metre of conduit used on the job if needed. This is not used in ceilings, most sheds with channel … it is actually used rarely like going along and external brick or other wall when access cannot be gained to do it internally and out of view.

Using the above costings you can accurately work out the costs of putting in a camera system.

Note: If all the runs are short or they are super easy….. it will cost a bit less / If the installer has to drill through concrete walls that are 300mm thick or the like… it will cost a bit more.

The other way an instal can be costed is by hourly rate. Work on $80/hr+gst per installer. Sometimes there will be 2 installers for harder jobs (but they obviously get the job completed quicker as opposed to being a single installer)

We are a seller of Security Camera equipment and not a security firm that employ installers. Our clients have used certain licensed installers (as we have heard in feedback)… we are happy to share and recommend a few if you need help finding an installer.
